Normally, surf competitions in Hikkaduwa are organized by A-Frame/Mambos at the main point/reef break. Last week however, Summer Lanka and Reefs’ End, two local businesses on the other end of the beach, organized an event, thereby expanding the surf competition scene on the beach. Growing edge energy. Several local businesses sponsored the event (including MountainWave Surf Shop) with quite a crowd turning out to cheer and watch the surfers do their thing. Lots of good tribe vibe~
