Hope

"We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope."
-Barack Obama

Leo and I watched a video on YouTube last night that really moved me. It takes place in a highschool in the Bronx and while it's tough to be a teenager anywhere, it's gotta be even harder in places like the Bronx. The video shows the kids talking about Barack Obama and what his message means to them, what his presence in the race for the presidency means to them....It gives them hope....on so many levels.

The raw mobilisation of spirit, the "togetherness" that is growing amongst all ages and races and backgrounds in the US, not from a place of anger but from a place of hope and faith in each other. That's what's different, that's what smells so good, that's what is so beautiful and exciting.
