Andy's here

Last Thursday, my cousin Andreas arrived from Norway for a two-week visit. It's been awhile since we had an opportunity to spend time together and I'm thrilled that he decided to spend a few weeks in Sri Lanka. This is the farthest south or east or....well, just the farthest he's ever traveled so everything is interesting and new and weird and cool and disturbing and beautiful and different all at the same time.

This past weekend the three of us took a trip to the hill country. Elephants and botanical gardens and the Tree of Life. Tea pluckers and rolling green tea hills. Winding roads, fruit stands, delicious spicy curry, lots of picture taking, laughing, talking, joking, and we've played cards almost every night. Fun-fun.

Chef Andy servin' up some homestyle panekaker after a long van ride back to Colombo. Sleepy, goofy, and hungry like hyenas we scarfed them down in minutes.

More tales and pictures this week of our weekend adventures. For now, it's late and I'm back to work tomorrow so....

"God natt, sov godt" and swee-swee dreams to you,
Leo, Sara, and Andreas
