dogs will be dogs

this morning i woke up, came into the kitchen and Shadow was scratching at the door to come in. He and his bulldog brother, Oslo had been out romping around and enjoying their terrain. I opened the door and Shadow came in. Behind him, laying on the driveway was a bright red piece of meat. Fresher than at any grocery, not "prepared" by human hands. I'm not sure if it's part of a deer or rabbit or what...My guess is that someone was cleaning a deer and the dogs found an "extra piece"...ai-ai-ai. That's country living for you. dogs will be dogs. my plan was to come out to the living room and curl up with Shadow and read but I'm kinda not feelin' it anymore.... Leo just went out there and is "taking care of it". Thanks man.

today it's about 50 degrees F in Florida. Last night was colder, like in the 30's. I'm liking the chilly temperatures, sweater weather, cuddle weather, heavy socks and fireplace weather.

thinking ahead to steamy Sri Lanka, i look forward to our second year. to the project i'm working on, to seeing our friends and colleagues again, to getting some surf in down south. looking forward to the experiences and people and attitudes that the new year will bring.

today we're checking out how to ship the surf boards to Sri Lanka. mine is 7ft5, leo's is 9ft2. they are both shaped to our specifications. zach painted a circle of fish on each of them. sweet. i'm excited to have our own boards in the water. leo surfing, sara learning. dawgs will be dawgs.

peace y'all~ have a good day
