to heavy heat that wraps around, and where jungle-y birdsongs adorn steamy streets, I hear blaring buses and squawking tuktuks. I yearn to look into the eyes of precious friends and listen for awhile to how life is, hold hands, give good long hugs.
A goldfinch lands in the bush outside the kitchen window. Majestic little creature. He tilts his head up and looks me in the eye and for a moment I am beyond time and space and the scattered tribe is connected.
My normal M.O. is "Be where you are" but once in awhile, you gotta fly around. Cosmically speaking. Go and look your precious ones in the eye, if even for a moment.

I love the way you write Sarah. So earthy and alive, like a poet among the people. Part of the fabric of life. Thanks for sharing.
Amen. I visit with you often this way. :)
