not all who wander are lost

not all who wander are lost

It's 8:30am and it feels like 4am. One of those mornings where you just want to stay in bed for another million hours, hibernation in fact would be nice. But up and at-em because Leo and I are working on Dad and Eva's deck, a continuation of yesterday's project.

Dad and Eva's......Eva's.......Dad and Eva's. I'm going to stick with Dad and Eva's for awhile.

Words. I've never experienced Past Tense in such a way. It feels truly strange and not altogether kind, an ill-fitting prickly wool sweater. I do it anyway of course, well mostly....and sometimes I don't. Dad loved to read. LOVED. d replaces s and it changes everything. Everything. Truly strange and not altogether kind....yes, quite right.

About 85% of the deck is left to scrub. This is one of those projects during which you can see clearly the fruits of your labor. Love those.

D replaces s, I eat my cereal and pull on my jeans and start scrubbin' the deck, Dad and Eva's deck.

Arms stretched open wide, to your day and mine, and to the water at the edges~

PS. Gotta remember to tell you where I got that....water at the edges. Next time.

Sara, As your mom I wish that you never have to replace the d with the s.All I can do is to walk alongside. And I am, right alongside..................... MOM
