Back in the Mitten. A tender return, to Grand Rapids, to the house. The three of us, Eva Leo and I, banded together and did projects around the house today. We washed all the screens, windows inside and out, trimmed trees and hedges. Sometimes when the mindheart has worked hard, it feels good to put the body to work for a change.

Tonight Eva is out with friends. Leo and I met our friend Allison downtown GR for a beer. On the way home, we stopped at Cone City, a childhood favorite of mine. Haven't been there for years. Cool to go there with Leo. Sat on the curb with my soft serve cone, my man, and a mindful of memories of summer nights with Dad & Eva and my sibs.

Home now and moments away from being horizontal, stretched out, quiet with a book in my hands. Thanks for this day, the tender and goodbusy and friendtime and memory moments, all.

Good dreams, restful night, amen amen amen

There are so many memory flowers to pick along the way in life, but one of the most precious memory flowers to pick is from the flowers left by the one that passed. You & Erik have a huge garden to pick from. Love mom
