Tonight we met our friends Charlie and Amber for dinner which was excellent. We used to be neighbors, have grill-outs together, walk dogs. We've kept in touch over the past few years through email and blogs. Felt good to share time and space again. Hopefully we'll see them again on the way out to the Cape in a few weeks.
Tomorrow is my last working day for awhile. Strange to think about. It hasn't quite dawned on me yet...things have been so busy. After work, a few of our friends from the office are getting together for happy hour. Familiar faces, more American hugs, and swapping stories with dear ones. Office mates
It was great to see my office mates this morning~ I told them all about the Sri Lanka project and heard about how the work in DC has changed while I've been gone. We went out for lunch together, not too far away because Elena is about 8 months pregnant and has quite a big beautiful belly to contend with.
