Yesterday was a misty morning in DC. Riding in the cab on the way to the airport we passed the Lincoln Memorial which was shrouded in mist, crossed the Potomac River over Memorial Bridge. Everything seemed quiet, blanketed by the fog. Hours later in this very place, Hillary would give her speech, bowing out of the nomination race for the presidency. What a historic time, what a historic place....
We flew into Detroit yesterday greeted by my mom. Felt so good. It was a sunny beautiful warm day in East Lansing. My sister, her husband, and their daughter are here visiting from Germany. They arrived Friday. We spent the late afternoon yesterday in the back garden enjoying the summer day. My niece, age 1 1/2 stripped down to just her shoes. She sat in the grass naked, smiling at the sky. She danced to some music, smelled flowers, played in the sprinkler. Precious.
It was my brother's birthday yesterday. Erik. I am thankful that my little bro joined me in this life, that I'm connected to him as a sister. Blessings abound.
One more day in the quiet haven of Mom's and then we take the car to Tennessee for the music festival, Bonnaroo where we'll join up with Zachary and some of our friends. Looking forward to good music and time with special friends. It's been good to have a day to rest and let things on the inside begin to settle.

Missing SL brothers and sisters big time today.
Special prayers of safety for the tribe in SL. Hope you can feel that we are with you in spirit.
Love and peace to you~
