A visit with two sick lovebirds

Pardon our lack of blogs lately but we've been out sick. Apparently there's been a rat fever plaguing our little paradise lost and we both managed to catch it. Leo caught it first, which may have come from rain polluted surf as none of the other Hikkaduwa boys seem to be affected so far, then the rat fever jumped ship and has been partying with Sara the past few days. Fortunately we did not infect our friend Mary, who was visiting from the DC area on her holiday last week. Although it's never fun being around bed-ridden sickies, we enjoyed her visit and she toured the beautiful wet and rainy tropics of Ceylon.

The queen and king keeping watch amongst their castle. The beach has to be one of the best places to be sick. Sun and fresh air can do wonders.

This is a short work week, Sara has a four day weekend coming up. So we are heading to the beach on Thursday morning. We are both feeling considerably better now and may celebrate Easter at a fancy little beach bungalow. The rainy season has arrived really early this year but the forecast for later this week is nothing but sun. We are definitely going to take advantage of the break in clouds.
