there's a rainstorm outside and i'm loving the sound of our building being washed, pelted, covered in the gush. the drains are overflowing and the street is starting to look like a stream down below. i was out late tonight having dinner with a group of friends, then a going-away party for a colleague, and now i'm blissfully home and ready to crawl into bed. tomorrow morning stretches out like a lazy cat, no time to wake, i can sleep and sleep. Jess's flight was cancelled out of NY so she'll arrive a day later than expected. i'm bummed but trusting it's for the best. she's in Detroit shopping at IKEA. way to make the most of it sister!
