As this day unfolds, so too our hearts...

Rumi says, Beauty surrounds us, but usually we need to be walking in a garden to know it.

Today is a day for love, in all its varied forms. As this day unfolds, so too our hearts, for ourselves, for each other, for our tribe and on and on until we are open and embracing and embraced by the whole of this blossoming existence called life, and by life I mean much more than life.

As this day unfolds...so too our hearts, for ourselves....
So primal and important and a love that is oft' overlooked.

Love after Love, a poem by Derek Walcott

The time will come
when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

Mmm. yessss. Thanks Em for sharing long ago, and thanks On Being for reciting recently.

Love for each other, the tribe, and on and on...

says Hafiz,
I wish I could show you...the Astonishing Light of your own Being!
