The last stretch, a little update

It is down to me and one other person for "that job." This has been a long haul. My interview went well. One of the hiring managers said with a grin that the room felt like "Kumbaya" by the end of the interview. I think that's a good thing. I was asked to come back yesterday one last time. I was shown around, we had a talk about the "nitty gritty" of the job itself, and then it was over. I even saw where I might be sitting....or not. The "Decider" said that she would try to make her decision last night and call us today or latest on Monday. It is a challenge...to keep my inner peace and trust stoked during these last cosmic moments. But, as I've said before, I almost feel like that piece, that total trust and peace in the face of extended uncertainty, is sooooo what this is really about (well, AND determining what life might look like for the next phase of our lives).

I came home yesterday, changed my clothes and went STRAIGHT to the garden. I needed quite literally to GROUND myself. Spent the entire rest of the day with my hands in the dirt. Planting seeds, weeding, and mulching my flower garden. Mother Earth.

Maybe I'll get that call today. On the boat to Nantucket perhaps. I'm doing Census work there again today. It's raining and my mom is here which means I'm not thrilled to be going "censing" (as someone recently called it) but I'm thankful for the financial assistance and I always have SOME interesting story, often several by evening time and for that I can be thankful too.

Leo has been prepping/painting a house down at the bay, and doing other "getting the house ready for the season" projects with another guy for the past few weeks. He'll be done with that on Saturday. He's applied for a job here locally too. Sounds like a GREAT environment and foot in the door kind of opportunity. Hoping praying trusting that the right thing happens with that.

Picturing us both waiting at the Feet of God.

Thanks for your prayers, good vibes, and support about all this job stuff. Tribe vibe.

Have a blessed Friday. Happy happy Friday everybody.

I have been thinking about you all day as you wait. It sounds like you have been keeping busy while you wait though. I hope they respond soon rather than later. Enjoy the weekend either way.
