Down the Rabbit Hole

Yesterday I went down the rabbit hole and spent the entire evening in Wonderland. In anticipation of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland coming to a theater near all of us this coming weekend, I went to the Library and checked out Lewis Carrol's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The Librarian gave me a knowing smirk n nod. She's planning to see the movie too and is pretty excited about it.  It's such a fast and sweetly nostalgic read, I recommend it to all of you Alice fans. There's still time. It only took me a few hours. And if you go to your local library, it's even free!

One of my favorite lines from my time in Wonderland last night:

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
"--so long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."

Amen to that.

Have a blessed day everyone.

I'm sooooo EXCITED! Feel like I've been waiting forever for this movie to be made. Visions of mad tea parties and white rabbits dancing through my dreams. Already have our tickets bought for Saturday as part of the birthday date! YEAHHHHHHH!

Maybe I should take another look at this book. Do they have 'Cliffs Notes' for the inexperienced fantasy reader?

I guess a lot of us are going down the Rabbit Hole in the next few weeks. It's amazing that we all read this in different countries, in different decades and we all experienced the awe.... I am excited to see it and a little scared that it will take away what I have lived with for 50 years. Mom
