I am pleased to see the publicity that Sri Lanka is getting in US media in recent days. Yesterday, Sri Lanka was on the front page of the New York Times. It is important. So important. 

People are striving for life

People are dying

People are becoming separated from loved ones

People are starving

People are making it to hospitals

People aren't making it to hospitals

People are giving all of their energy to relieve the suffering of others

People are helping to transport, feed, shelter, reunite, treat and heal, bear witness...

I pray...

for the endurance of those helping

for the endurance of those surviving

for understanding

for acceptance and respect

for the alleviation of suffering

for the evolution of hearts and minds involved in this struggle

for Peace
