Jess and Gaya are in the air from Dubai to New York (they got seats together from Colombo!). I got a text from Gaya in Dubai saying the Colombo flight went fine. I leave yesterday's "picture of the day" up for an extra day. I started to change it but then I thought, nope...that's them, Gaya and Jess. Another pair of traveling sisters. Blessed be your journey. Blessed be your welcome when you arrive at your destination.

Mom leaves tonight for a few weeks of class, of mind-opening sharing and learning with people from all over the world. A summit of sorts I would say, holding council, learning together. I'm really proud of you mom.

It's Uncle Bud's birthday today. Hope you have a special day. Big hugs from Sri Lanka.

Speaking of Sri Lanka, major world news headlines for today. The head of LTTE political wing, Mr. Thamilselvan, was reportedly killed in an air force raid early this morning. Awaiting more information. Speculation of what's to come is of course the talk of the town.

We plan to catch the early train to the beach tomorrow morning. We'll see if we can wake up. We didn't get to sleep til about 3 this morning so it's a bit of a tall order. Just gotta think about my toes in the sand and the sound of the waves.

G'night pups~
