Today is the National Day of Norway. There will be parades in every city, town, and village in norway. people will be dressed in their national costumes and there will be flags flying everywhere.
A few interesting tidbits about the Motherland:The official name of the country is: the KINGDOM OF NORWAY.
The royal family include King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Princess Martha Louise, and Crown Prince Haakon Magnus
Prime minister is Jens Stoltenberg, a norwegian economist.
Population of the entire country is around 4.6 million. that's less people than live in Houston TX.
Norway has topped the UN Human Development Index (a comparative study of life expectancy, literacy, education, and standard of living of countries worldwide) for the past 6 consecutive years.
Mom is there now celebrating my cousin's daughter's confirmation. Wish I was there too.
