I had an unexpected houseguest this weekend. An incoming delegate from Denmark who needed a place to stay. She was one of life's most interesting characters.....A grandmother of six boys, a war-surgery nurse who worked in the midst of some of humankinds modern nightmares, a woman who walks this earth with an analytic mind, an open heart, a sharp tongue, and a loving spirit. Danish accent, words taking on new life as grammar was left behind like an afterthought.
She was an amazing storyteller and had incredible stories to tell. I feel as though I've journeyed on a magic carpet.
